Finance Assistant

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this person will provide Financial and admin support to the Finance Director to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of Monthly Management accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • To process Supplier invoices, match Purchase orders on Job costing system and update Purchase ledger daily.
  • To Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any disputes.
  • Prepare Monthly Payment list for Finance Manager for month end payment Run.
  • To analyse credit card expenditure, post transactions to sage and chase receipts in preparation for month end Reconciliations.
  • To analyse, process and monitor petty cash receipts and payments.
  • To assist in the preparation of the bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • To assist in the preparation of information required for audit, annual accounts, budgets and other ad-hoc exercises.
  • To provide effective and efficient administrative support within the finance Dept.
  • To undertake any other duties as required by the Finance Director.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years year working in a similar role
  • Experience of using Sage Accounts and Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience with reconciling bank Accounts using Computerised Accounting Software
  • Ability to work alone as well in a team
  • Strong Financial and Commercial awareness
