The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open is one of Ireland’s most high profile sporting events. Aiming to drive 85,000 attendees to the event, Mammoth alongside the European Tour, successfully exceeded this goal in attracting 94,239 spectators over the course of the weekend.
Together, Mammoth and The European Tour adopted a ‘digital first’ approach, to this fully integrated campaign. In addition to traditional formats such as press and radio, Mammoth’s media department used a range of digital media partners and focused on contextually relevant targeted ads via VoD. More emphasis was placed on content production and saw a number of Mammoth’s dedicated in-house content team based at the tournament for the duration of the event. This resulted in the campaign delivering in excess of 23.5M impressions across paid, earned and owned media channels.
This world-class event left a lasting legacy for Ballyliffin and the surrounding areas. We look forward to working with The European Tour on next year’s event being held in Lahinch.
